After a week of offering my services as a free babysitter at a public school institution that has to meet certain "days" for kids to be in school, I was more than THRILLED to enter my summer vacation.
We kicked off the weekend with a trip out to Lake Belton with our "new" boat. We went in with my sister and brother-in-law this past fall and purchased a 1980s deck boat from a friend at church. This was our first try of tubing and wake boarding. It turned out to be really windy and not so much fun with all the white caps. Jack tried tubing with Uncle Kevin, and was less than enthused! So, we docked the boat and just swam and ate lunch for a little while. Not too bad.
While we went out on the boat, Ryleigh-girl stayed at home with Yaya and Papa, so we went smimming at MarZ's house later with the kids. Here are some cute pics of our bathing beauty who LOVES the water just like her brother. I literally had to drag Jack out of the pool tonight after he had been the lone swimmer with his floaties for the past hour already! I love summertime, most of all because I get to soak up time with my precious kids!
Yay! Here's to lots of playdates and Chick-Fil-A...they go hand in hand, don't you think???
