Happy Heart Day

Jeremy  and I decided back when we first got married that we wouldn't really "celebrate" Valentine's Day. We both agreed that it would mean more to have random acts throughout the year.

So, this morning, I did dress Jack in pink and Ryleigh and myself in red. I told Jack that Valentine's Day is the day that we make sure to tell everyone how much they mean to us and how much we love them (not "celebrating" doesn't mean that we totally ignore its existence). We called grandparents and told them we loved them, etc.

Then, to top of my swell of motherly pride, Jack ran over to Ryleigh and gave her a hug and said, "I love you, Ryleigh!" Now that's what it's all about!

  1. What a sweet little boy! He should make you proud :) I love the things we can learn from children.
